The SLP Requirement: The Most Common Gotcha

Many families make back-to-school purchases in July or August before their SLP is approved. If your receipt is dated before your SLP approval date:

• Those purchases are permanently ineligible
• You cannot retroactively apply your SLP approval date
• There is no appeals exception for pre-SLP purchases

1. Submit your SLP application first, before planning any purchases.
2. Wait for your official approval email before buying anything.
3. Screenshot your SLP approval confirmation showing the exact date.
4. Keep that screenshot with your receipt records for the year.
